Solar Rebates
The New South Wales State Government
The NSW Government has recently introduced a state scheme that allows owners who meet certain eligibility requirements, to benefit from installing a solar hot water system. In addition to specific building standards known as BASIX that assist in the reduction of greenhouse gases, and further to the Federal REC scheme, the NSW Government offers the following rebates:

Replacing an electric water heater with an electric or gas boosted solar, or heat pump, hot water system |
$600 to $1,200 State rebate (depending on the model) $1,000 Federal Rebate* Plus RECs |

Replacing an existing electric water heater with a 5 Star energy efficient gas hot water system |
$300 State rebate |

Installing an electric or gas boosted solar hot water system in a new home |
